Lightroom Tutorial Series, The Crop Tool
Hello everyone, Today I am continuing my “Lightroom Tutorial Series” and have a video I made all about the Crop Tool. The crop tool doesn’t get much love, however it is a very important tool in my raw workflow. I dont always get the chance to crop in camera so sometimes I have to crop to finalize my composition.
There are several keyboard shortcuts for Lightroom’s crop tool so I will give you them in a text format so you can copy ans paste them if you wish.
First off the Shortcut to start the crop tool is the “R” Key, to change the overlay use the “O” key, to change the orientation of the overlay press the “Shift + O” keys. To lock and unlock the crop tool constrained option, use the “A” key. To reset the crop tool press, “Ctrl+Shift+R” on windows and “CMD+Shift+R” on a Mac. To view the crop without any obstruction in the interface press the “L” key to turn the lights out, note press the “L” key 2 more times to return to the original interface
Shortcuts
R = Crop tool
O = Overlay
Shift+O = Orentation of Overlay
A = Constrain On or Off
CTRL+Shift+R = (WIN) Reset Crop
CMD+Shift+R = (Mac) Reset Crop
L = Light’s Off
I hope you enjoy the quick tip on the use of the crop tool. If you have any questions, please feel free to post in the comment section. Thanks for taking tim eot read my blog. Thomas Shue
